Siamese Alliance of America is a CFA member club dedicated to promoting and protecting the CFA Siamese breed. We produce an annual show, which is traditionally held in Lebanon, PA on the 4th week end of May. As our constitution states, we are dedicated to preserving the Siamese breed in its original four colors and to preserving the integrity of the breed. CFA (the Cat Fanciers Association) is a registry of pedigreed cats. Along with providing registration and pedigree services to breeders, CFA consists of member clubs that produce shows for pedigreed cat competitions. CFA also provides disaster relief services, and is affiliated with the Winn Foundation, a non-profit organization which supports health related studies into medical problems affecting cats. CFA has lots of programs to involve the newest and most experienced exhibitors and even the youngest exhibitors. The CFA Mentor Program is a program designed to attract new breeders and exhibitors and retain them in the hobby of breeding and exhibiting pedigreed cats. CFA established this program to provide education, guidance, assistance and nurturing to new breeders and exhibitors. It promotes CFA as a friendly association with pleasant people ready to assist the novice or newcomer. The CFA Ambassador Program is committed to educating spectators at cat shows about cats, CFA and the types of opportunities that exist in the Fancy. And The Junior Showmanship Program to introduce and encourage young people to participate in the sport of pedigreed cats. |
